The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust

Our mission is to enrich the lives of people from all backgrounds within the Commonwealth by working in alliance with partners towards eliminating avoidable blindness. We aim to combat three major avoidable causes of blindness and to strengthen the eye healthcare sector as a whole. The Trust is working with its partners to energise efforts towards the Global Elimination of Trachoma by the year 2020 (GET 2020). We are implementing the World Health Organisation-approved SAFE strategy for trachoma control to fight the disease in six African countries.
