A Tunisian Nonprofit NGO founded on 1980 by Professor Ridha Mabrouk and volunteer Ophthalmologists and eye Health Care personals. Member of Prevention of Blindness Union (PBU). Council Member, International Co-chair EMR-IAPB. Member of Middle East African Council of Ophthalmology (MEACO). Early supporting of Vision 2020. 1-Prevention of Blindness through Human resources development (training of eye Doctors and Nurses). 2-Eg: Al Bassar Course in collaboration with Faculty of Medicine Tunis, Computerized Libraries and scholarships from Tunis to Europ, USA, Japan and to Tunis from West Africa. 3-Low Vision services: serving and rehabilitation of partially sighted children and adults (free of charge).

23303 cataract were performed (manual phaco with PC IOL), 38083 outpatients screening were performed in collaboration with the Islamic Bank of Development and Tunisian Agency for Technical Cooperation. Theoretical training for ophthalmologists and ophthalmic technicians, in small groups, each mission Practical education for ophthalmologists including coaching and introduction to cataract surgery.
